You will solve complex power distribution challenges for data center applications, ensuring robust performance across various hardware components while providing technical guidance to customers and partners regarding power delivery architecture and design guidelines.

What you'll do

  • Lead the definition, analysis, simulation, and verification of end-to-end power delivery and integrity solutions from die to system level.
  • Define voltage regulator design specifications and collaborate with suppliers for selection and co-development.
  • Develop and implement power distribution network (PDN) modeling, simulation flows, and characterization for SoC, package, and PCB components.
  • Create comprehensive power maps, trees, flow diagrams, and budget calculations from die to system levels.
  • Provide technical feedback to design teams regarding decoupling, packaging, and power rail architecture based on integrity analysis.
  • Conduct IR drop, AC, and transient simulations while ensuring correlation between models and physical hardware measurements.
  • Utilize ML/AI-assisted simulation techniques to automate and streamline design and analysis workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance, documentation, and troubleshooting support to customers and OEM partners regarding power delivery architecture.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 4+ years in Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in power delivery, board level VR design, PI analysis, simulation, and PDN measurements.
  • Strong expertise in Power Integrity (PI) fundamentals, including voltage regulator technologies, chip supply design, and PDNs.
  • Proficiency in PI simulation tools such as Simplis/Simetrix, ADS, ANSYS SIwave, HFSS, and Cadence Sigrity.
  • Experience with electrical validation and compliance testing tools like VNAs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, TDR, and differential probes.
  • Knowledge of packaging and PCB technologies, including 2.5D/3D packaging such as CoWoS, InFo, EMIB, and RDL.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and scripting languages like MATLAB, Perl, or Python.
  • Experience with server, HPC, or data center platform power delivery is preferred.
