What you'll do

Design and validate time transfer systems using PTP, NTP, TWSTFT, and GNSS protocols.
Implement high-precision time transfer over both RF and optical links.
Integrate emerging technologies to achieve nanosecond-level timing accuracy across networks.
Build operational systems to monitor the performance of clock synchronization architectures.
Perform performance analysis and troubleshooting for timing systems across distributed infrastructure.
Conduct clock characterization and frequency stability analysis for satellite and ground systems.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
A PhD is required, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of quantitative field research experience.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proven experience with various time transfer protocols (PTP/NTP, TWSTFT, GNSS) and metrology equipment is required.
Experience with clock characterization and frequency stability analysis is required.
Experience analyzing experimental and observational data sets to solve complex problems in tight schedules is required.
Proficiency with data analysis tools including Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Python is required.
Preferred experience includes HA-PTP, White Rabbit systems, Kalman filtering, and FPGA-based timing hardware.
