As part of the Mixed Signal Design Validation team, you will take ownership of developing and implementing tests for high-speed mixed-signal circuits and electro-optical transceivers. Your day-to-day responsibilities include building validation test suites, conducting detailed characterization across various conditions, debugging complex issues, providing feedback to designers, optimizing system performance through scripting, and training new engineers. You will work with Python, Git, MATLAB, and JMP, requiring a strong background in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 8 years of experience. The role demands expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, proficiency in multi-protocol SerDes architecture, and the ability to adapt to fast-paced environments involving multiple chip bring-ups.
Build and execute validation test suites for high-speed I/Os and mixed-signal circuits.
Characterize analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit blocks across various conditions.
Debug complex technical issues by devising innovative solutions.
Provide feedback to designers on silicon performance and margins.
Develop tools and scripts to support electrical characterization activities.
Train new engineers in validation practices and methodologies.
What we're looking for
8+ years experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering with strong collaborative skills.
Expertise in silicon bring-up, debugging, and lab instrumentation usage.
