Mixed Signal Design Validation Engineer

What you'll do

• Perform bring-up and characterization of high-speed mixed-signal circuits and electro-optical transceivers.
• Build validation test suites for high-speed I/Os and analog circuits.
• Characterize circuit blocks across process, voltage, and temperature variations to correlate with simulations.
• Debug technically challenging issues by devising creative solutions to complex hardware problems.
• Provide feedback to designers regarding silicon performance, design quality, and margins.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate electrical characterization and chip bring-up activities.
• Analyze lab data from high-speed interfaces to generate meaningful performance insights.
• Train new engineers in established validation practices.

What we're looking for

• A BS degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Experience in silicon bring-up, debugging, and the use of lab instrumentation is required.
• In-depth technical knowledge of fundamental analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits is required.
• Ability to write scripts for validation, debugging, data analysis, and automation is required.
• Proficiency in Python, Git, MATLAB, and JMP is required.
• Comprehensive understanding of multi-protocol SerDes architecture (preferred).
• In-depth understanding of measurement theory and test instruments (preferred); knowledge of optical transceiver performance is a plus.
