What you'll do

Provide technical support for process control, automation infrastructure, and manufacturing systems.
Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for electrical, instrumentation, and DeltaV control systems.
Manage a diverse portfolio of projects in coordination with manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance teams.
Implement automation system configuration changes to support new product and technology introductions.
Design, specify, and validate process equipment and GMP utilities for complex projects.
Provide 24/7 on-call technical support for automated systems on a rotational basis.
Develop and present results for operational issues and engineering projects of varying complexity.

What we're looking for

High school diploma/GED and 8 years of automation or engineering experience, Associate’s degree and 6 years, Bachelor’s degree and 2 years, or a Master’s degree.
Experience in process automation engineering within a manufacturing support environment (preferred).
At least 1 year of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries (preferred).
3+ years of combined experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems (preferred).
Familiarity with S88, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP, and software development life cycle methodologies (preferred).
Strong background in control system automation including design, installation, programming, and validation of automated processes.
Experience with technical areas such as Mammalian Cell Culture, Protein Purification, Clean Utilities, CIP, SIP, or Commissioning (preferred).
Experience with validation and change control methodology (preferred).
