What you'll do

Act as the technical authority for on-site operations of large-scale mechanical systems and designs.
Develop datacenter mechanical designs from project conception through issue for construction for new builds and upgrades.
Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures for redundant high-capacity cooling systems.
Support 24x7x365 on-site datacenter operations and critical infrastructure.
Manage and support datacenter backup electrical systems including diesel generators and rotary UPS.
Assist with supplier selection and oversee the execution of mechanical suppliers.
Ensure all datacenter activities comply with safety, security, and compliance standards.

What we're looking for

A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and 1+ year of experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other required security screenings.
Experience as a technical authority for large-scale mechanical systems and designs.
Experience collaborating on data center mechanical designs from conception to issue for construction.
Experience establishing maintenance and safety procedures for high-capacity cooling and backup electrical systems.
Ability to oversee mechanical supplier execution and selection.
8+ years of related technical engineering experience (preferred).
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years, Master's degree and 3+ years, or Doctorate and 1+ year of experience (preferred).
