Manufacturing Technician
The Manufacturing Technician joins the production team to perform the assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical components for a family of cUAS radar products. In this role, you will follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and instructions to assemble systems using various hand and power tools. You will be responsible for combining subsystems into larger functioning units, ensuring proper communication between integrated components, and maintaining detailed records of assembly processes and test results. The role requires proficiency with tools like multimeters, calipers, and oscilloscopes, as well as experience with soldering, firmware loading, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of electrical components and wiring diagrams. This position focuses on the production of specialized radar technology within the defense sector to solve critical challenges in counter-unmanned aircraft systems.
Assemble mechanical and electrical components for cUAS radar products using blueprints and schematics.
Utilize hand tools and power tools to construct complex electro-mechanical systems.
Integrate various subsystems into a single functioning unit while ensuring proper component communication.
Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, test results, and technical issues encountered.
Perform functional checkouts and troubleshoot hardware issues during the testing process.
Load firmware onto integrated digital systems as part of the manufacturing workflow.
Conduct RF system testing using specialized equipment like oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
What we're looking for
Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing mechanical and/or electrical assemblies (aerospace, electronics, or medical industry preferred).
Proficiency with common hand and power tools including pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions for complex systems.
Working knowledge of common electrical components and proficiency in standard computer applications.
Experience testing RF systems, soldering, and using specialized equipment like oscilloscopes or vector network analyzers (preferred).
Experience with firmware loading, LabView scripts, PCBA integration, and Lean manufacturing principles (preferred).
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Math, Hard Science, or Business (preferred).
