Manufacturing Technician, Dive-LD

What you'll do

• Build, integrate, and test complex electromechanical assemblies into Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs).
• Route and service high-reliability cabling and wiring harnesses.
• Design, prototype, and scale manufacturing jigs and fixtures to improve build and test efficiency.
• Fabricate and modify machined parts and COTS components.
• Provide feedback to the engineering team regarding vehicle product development and manufacturing life cycles.
• Develop, document, and improve internal manufacturing workflows.
• Organize and establish on-site manufacturing processes.
• Travel offshore to support operations teams when required.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of relevant experience in a mechanical field such as automotive, marine, aerospace, or industrial equipment.
• Familiarity with building and maintaining electromechanical systems.
• Experience working off of technical documentation and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, fabrication processes, and plastic/metal part manufacturing.
• Ability to route and service high-reliability cabling and wiring harnesses.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience in sub-sea robotics (AUVs, UUVs, underwater equipment) (preferred).
• Experience with electrical components up to 400VDc or proficiency with electrical debug tools like a digital multimeter (preferred).
