Managers supervise and manage software developers within a work group while overseeing team member performance and results through training, analysis, and feedback of performance data. The role involves installing, configuring, administering, and tuning software applications, as well as designing, testing, and implementing systems software and creating best practices and tools. Candidates will ensure user and process requirements are met through software applications, specifically supporting Decision Centre platform initiatives like CI/CD and DB Resiliency rollout using MapR and Migration to the Cloud. The technical environment includes .Net technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, ADO.NET, SSIS, SSRS, C#, JQuery, SQL Server, VSS, WCF, WPF, and XML. Additional tools include Version Control, TFS, MapR, Azure DevOps, AWS EC2, EKS, and AWS RDS including Aurora DB and DynamoDB.
Supervise and manage software developers within the work group.
Perform installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of software applications.
Design, test, and implement software applications and systems software.
Create best practices and tools for development processes.
Oversee the performance and results of team members to ensure productivity.
Translate user and process requirements into functional software applications.
Support Decision Centre platform initiatives including CI/CD, DB Resiliency, and Cloud migration.
What we're looking for
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required with 2 years of software development experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 5 years of progressive software development experience is acceptable.
Proficiency in .Net technologies including ASP.NET, MVC, ADO.NET, SSIS, and SSRS is required.
Experience with C#, JQuery, SQL Server, VSS, and Version Control is required.
Knowledge of WCF/Web Services, WPF, XML, and TFS is required.
Experience with MapR, Azure DevOps, AWS EC2, EKS, and AWS RDS (Aurora DB, DynamoDB) is preferred.
