JOB TITLE: Manager Programs 2
The Manager Programs 2 joins the Aerospace Structures Business Unit to lead the cost, schedule, and technical performance of complex programs or subsystems. This role involves directing all phases from inception through completion, including managing milestones, identifying risks, and leading program review sessions as the primary customer interface. Key responsibilities include coordinating proposals, business plans, and operating budgets while managing diverse technical, manufacturing, and administrative teams. The successful candidate will utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools to maintain budget baselines. Required expertise includes experience with composite materials, large scale assembly operations, and managing scope across multiple agile release teams within an Integrated Product Team structure. The role addresses technical challenges in aerospace structures, requiring proficiency in risk, issues, and opportunity management.
Manage the cost, schedule, and technical performance of contracts and subsystems.
Act as the primary customer interface for program activities and review sessions.
Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
Identify program risks and opportunities and obtain solutions like resource allocation.
Direct the work of employees across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, and operating budgets.
Establish design concepts and engineering efforts for product research and development.
Manage profit and loss for complex programs across multiple sites.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience, or a Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years.
Must have a Master's degree and 8 years of related experience, or a Master of Science in STEM and 7 years.
Must have professional or military experience in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, or business management.
Must have experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple agile release teams using an Integrated Product Team structure.
Must have experience with composite materials and large scale assembly operations.
Must have experience developing and adhering to budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance and a Special Access Programs (SAP) clearance.
