What you'll do

Provide day-to-day technical leadership to a team of software engineers to ensure high-quality delivery on schedule and within budget.
Lead the development of RESTful APIs, service-based architectures, and Java enterprise applications.
Manage software deployment and sustainment on Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems using RPM-based packaging.
Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions for VoIP and application-level software systems.
Mentor and coach engineers on technical growth, career development, and performance expectations.
Support recruitment activities including interviewing, onboarding, and tasking new software engineers.
Provide technical input to proposal efforts, including cost estimates and engineering assumptions.
Maintain hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, integration, and the sustainment of real-time communication applications.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree with 9 years of experience, a graduate degree with 7 years, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
Experience in a senior engineering, technical lead, or informal leadership role.
Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or integrating RESTful services in a production environment.
DoD Secret security clearance.
Exposure to proposal development, cost estimation, or EVMS-driven program environments.
Experience working in an Agile or hybrid Agile development environment.
Hands-on experience with OpenShift, MicroShift, or Kubernetes-based environments (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
