What you'll do

Lead a software development team through all phases of the software development life cycle.
Translate complex requirements into working and maintainable technical solutions.
Manage project planning, task definition, budget assignment, and performance monitoring using EVMS techniques.
Develop embedded software applications utilizing Modern C++ tools and standards.
Serve as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and direction to other engineers.
Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement technical solutions independently or with teams.
Design and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software based on operational performance requirements.
Create software test plans, procedures, and relevant technical documentation.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship and an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and target hardware.
Experience leading a software team or project with strong project management skills.
Proficiency in developing software using Modern C++ tools and standards.
Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
Experience with EVMS (preferred).
Experience with device drivers, Board Support Packages, Information Assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, or Rust (preferred).
