The Manager Program Planning 2 (Sustainment) joins the Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems team to lead day-to-day sustainment needs. This leadership role balances maintenance and supply requirements with customer desires and personnel availability. The manager coordinates priorities between multiple Technical Integration teams, ensuring project alignment and timely execution of tasks to meet program goals. Key responsibilities include serving as the technical integration authority for Product Support tasking, mentoring team members, and presenting technical status, risks, and opportunities to leadership. The role requires expertise in contracts, program management, risk issue opportunities, and government acquisition lifecycles. Necessary skills include financial management, MS Project, and proficiency in logistics support elements like Maintenance Planning, Modeling & Simulation, and Obsolescence Management to solve complex technical integration and product support problems.
Serve as the technical integration authority for Product Support tasking across multiple program organizations.
Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to team members.
Coordinate with other integration leaders to ensure the sharing and alignment of best practices.
Monitor industry best practices and USG guidance to influence Statements of Work.
Collaborate with Engineering and Global Supply Chain functions to generate high-quality technical analyses.
Formally present technical status, solutions, risks, and opportunities to leadership and the customer.
Act as the Contract Administration Manager for technical integration team work packages.
Support and shape proposal activities for the program.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 7 years of related experience.
Active US Government Top Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation.
Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR).
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 9 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 7 years of related engineering experience (preferred).
SCI eligible and current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance (preferred).
Previous experience with Contracts, Program Management, Risk Issue Opportunities management, and/or government acquisition lifecycle (preferred).
Relevant experience in adjacent logistics support elements, process improvements, financial management, and Microsoft Office programs (preferred).
