What you'll do

  • Perform electromechanical assembly of flight and development avionics hardware including PCBAs, harness routing, and enclosure assembly.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Conduct functional testing on avionics assemblies to verify compliance with technical specifications.
  • Apply polymeric processes such as potting, encapsulation, bonding, and conformal coating to electronic components.
  • Maintain detailed build records and ensure full traceability of parts in accordance with aerospace standards.
  • Identify and document non-conformances or build issues for engineering and quality teams.
  • Execute component cleaning and handling according to strict military and aerospace standards.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; technical certification or an associate degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an LRU technician in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or related industries is required.
  • Proficiency in electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems related to Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals is required.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and functional test systems is required.
  • Experience in military or aerospace production environments with high standards for quality and traceability is preferred.
  • Certifications in NASA-STD-8739.3, IPC-A-610 (Class 3), IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Class 3), J-STD-001 (Class 3), or IPC-CC-830 are preferred.
  • Ability to perform electromechanical assembly, including harness routing, thermal interface installation, and polymeric process applications like potting and coating.
