As a Lead Software Engineer / Platform Engineer within the Corporate Sector - Employee Platforms team, you will join a small, focused team building software-defined platforms to manage and automate technology across the Retail Branch network. You will contribute to the modernization of the Software Defined Branch platform by reshaping C#, .NET, and PowerShell workflows into a clean, maintainable, and extensible agentic platform. Your daily responsibilities include developing secure production code, conducting technical troubleshooting, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices. You will utilize tools like VS Code, GitHub Copilot, and Claude Code while managing Windows platform engineering, REST API design, and relational database development. This role solves complex problems regarding branch builds and Windows automation at scale within a financial services IT environment.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain high-quality production code using C#, .NET, and PowerShell.
  • Modernize existing workflows into a clean, maintainable, and extensible agentic platform.
  • Review and debug code written by other engineers to ensure security and quality.
  • Integrate enterprise-authorized AI tools into daily workflows to improve code quality and delivery speed.
  • Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
  • Lead technical evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs.
  • Design and implement REST APIs and relational database systems for large-scale automation.
  • Manage the full software development life cycle including CI/CD and application resiliency.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of deep working knowledge of C#, .NET, and PowerShell in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and working knowledge of LLM integration or agentic tooling in a production context.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards for outputs.
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption within delivery practices.
  • Experience with Windows platform engineering and automation workflows at scale.
  • Strong understanding of REST API design, relational database development, system integration patterns, and the full SDLC.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like React (preferred).
  • Experience with event-driven architecture or messaging platforms (preferred).
  • Familiarity with MCP or tools-first API design patterns (preferred).
  • Experience in financial services or a comparable enterprise environment (preferred).
  • Background in platform modernization or legacy system re-architecture (preferred).
