Lead Software Engineer / Platform Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and modernize C#, .NET, and PowerShell workflows to automate branch builds and Windows systems.
• Build secure, high-quality production code while performing peer code reviews and debugging.
• Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to improve code quality, delivery speed, and incident analysis.
• Establish validation standards for AI-assisted engineering including security, performance, and automated testing.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
• Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and tool applicability.
• Design and maintain REST APIs and relational database integrations within a scalable platform.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Minimum 7 years of deep working knowledge of C#, .NET, and PowerShell in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and working knowledge of LLM integration or agentic tooling in a production context.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
• Experience with Windows platform engineering, automation workflows at scale, REST API design, and relational database development.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of financial services industry IT systems (preferred); experience with front-end frameworks or event-driven architecture (preferred).
