Senior Lead Software Engineer, Platform Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Drive the adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish measurable validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing within the SDLC.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, contractors, and external vendors.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations through key architectural decisions.
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in specific technical disciplines like cloud or artificial intelligence.
• Deploy and manage applications using AWS services including EMR, EKS/ECS, EC2, and S3.
• Monitor and maintain operational stability using enterprise logging and monitoring platforms like Splunk and Datadog.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java, including expertise in developing, debugging, and maintaining code.
• Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, data lakes, and AWS S3 for scalable data storage.
• Proven track record deploying and managing applications using AWS services such as EMR, EKS/ECS, EC2, Event Bus, and S3.
• Deep familiarity with enterprise logging and monitoring platforms including Splunk, Elastic Search, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI engineering workflows.
