Lead Software Engineer - Java/Python/AI/AWS As a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Community Banking Marketing Tech team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain an AI agent platform integrating with approved models and APIs.
Build and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using scalable compute and event-driven patterns.
Develop high-quality production code in Python and Java for backend services and APIs.
Deliver full-stack capabilities including React-based UI components for agent-driven applications.
Build reusable agent components such as prompting patterns, tool connectors, and guardrail hooks.
Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes within the CI/CD toolchain.
Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and enforce secure coding standards.
Monitor platform health and resolve performance issues through root-cause analysis and automated remediation.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for production systems.
Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java (strong preference for both).
Working knowledge of React and modern frontend fundamentals.
Demonstrated end-to-end engineering across services, APIs, integrations, CI/CD automation, and production operations.
Practical, hands-on AWS experience building cloud-native services including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and observability.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security-by-design.
Experience mentoring engineers and leading code/design reviews in an enterprise environment.
Experience in Agentic AI, building AI agents using existing models (preferred).
Experience with MCP development and tool-integrated agent architectures (preferred).
Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) knowledge (preferred).
