What you'll do

Design and implement complex software components across backend services, APIs, and UI experiences using Java, Python, and React.
Build and refine agentic capabilities using the Smart SDK, including tool integration and orchestration patterns for production use.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Engineer data and search solutions using PostgreSQL and OpenSearch to support AI and analytics workflows.
Contribute to cloud-native engineering on AWS using Terraform to improve deployment safety and system observability.
Write secure, high-quality production code while performing code reviews and providing technical mentorship to the team.
Improve operational excellence by identifying recurring issues and implementing automation to reduce manual toil.
Participate in technical evaluation sessions with internal partners and external vendors to assess architecture and platform fit.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture for production-grade systems.
Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and modern developer tools like GitHub Copilot.
Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools while ensuring security, performance, and accuracy of outputs.
Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra), and GraphQL.
Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
Expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or CloudWatch.
