What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews for other team members.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across the organization.
Drive the adoption of AI tools and technologies within the engineering team.
Manage the full software development life cycle including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages and technologies like Java, AWS, PostgreSQL, or Kafka.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated proficiency in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
Practical cloud native experience.
Proficient experience in Python, Angular, and/or React (preferred).
