As a Lead Software Engineer- Identity and Access Management, you will join the Chief Technology Office team to build and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products. Your daily responsibilities include reviewing code, automating remediation for recurring issues, and leading evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams. The role requires proficiency in CI/CD, application resiliency, and cloud-native practices within the financial services industry. You will solve technical problems related to IAM, authentication, and multi-region resilience using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Ansible, Pingfed, and Forgerock to ensure secure, scalable systems.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
  • Write secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for others.
  • Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
  • Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
  • Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
  • Deliver system designs and applications using Java, React/Angular, and cloud-native technologies.
  • Implement automation and continuous delivery methods throughout the software development life cycle.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of Java/JEE design and development skills, including AI-assisted development.
  • Advanced proficiency in the Java programming language.
  • Advanced knowledge of React or Angular.
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technical disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
  • Practical cloud native experience.
  • IAM/authentication domain, multi-region resilience, observability, Ansible/pipeline-as-code, and financial services compliance (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Pingfed and Forgerock (preferred).
