As a Lead Software Engineer within the Finance Technology team of the Corporate Sector, you will join an agile team dedicated to delivering secure, stable, and scalable market-leading technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor, designing and developing high-quality production code while troubleshooting complex technical problems across various business functions. Your daily responsibilities include conducting code reviews, leading communities of practice, and driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve delivery speed and operational stability. You must possess advanced skills in Full Stack development using Java, Python, and React, alongside proficiency in CI/CD, cloud-native environments, and automation. This role requires deep knowledge of financial services IT systems to solve architectural challenges and ensure responsible AI use within engineering workflows.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Lead communities of practice to promote the awareness and use of leading-edge technologies across Software Engineering.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve the value realized by automated processes.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in Full Stack development using Java or Python and React.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for coding, review, and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and coaching engineers on compliant adoption.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
