What you'll do

Develop and maintain APIs for credit decisioning while performing necessary validations.
Create technical design documents and lead the development of software solutions for complex business needs.
Design and implement rules for decision services using engines like Drools or FICO OMDM.
Analyze large datasets to improve risk-adjusted returns and develop strategies that enhance lending decisions.
Manage integration between systems using APIs, FTP, and messaging buses in event-driven environments.
Monitor test designs and analytical reporting to track and improve portfolio performance.
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and troubleshooting support to fellow developers.
Establish and manage credit risk policies in collaboration with internal and external partners.

What we're looking for

Candidates should possess a university or college degree or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
Experience with programming languages such as Java and Python is required.
Experience working with relational databases and a strong understanding of SQL is required.
Familiarity with cloud environments and event-driven systems using Kafka messaging is required.
Knowledge of rules engines like FICO OMDM, Drools, or Experian Power Curve is required.
Proficiency in developing and maintaining APIs, including experience with Swagger, JSON schema, XSD, and web services (RESTful and SOAP).
Ability to create process flows and perform systems integration using API, FTP, and messaging buses.
Experience in technical design, documentation, and leading the development of software solutions for complex business needs.
