What you'll do

Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets functional objectives.
Develop secure production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems and break down routine issues.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability.
Evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials for compatibility with existing systems and information architecture.
Implement data governance and best practices to ensure data quality and organizational compliance.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, testing, and refactoring.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Proficiency in Java 21 and Python for building into public and private clouds using CI/CD strategies.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
Practical cloud-native experience and exposure to building AI/ML driven applications.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Experience with AWS public cloud, Agile/SRE culture, NoSQL databases (preferably Apache Cassandra), and RESTful APIs (preferred).
