What you'll do

Develop and implement secure, high-quality production code in Python and Java.
Review and debug code written by other team members to ensure quality and security.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding and testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies.
Build and test Spring Boot services and React applications using automated testing tools.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation to improve software delivery value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced coding in Python and Java with a strong grasp of design patterns, Spring/Spring Boot, and Kubernetes.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and setting validation standards for outputs.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and coaching engineers on compliant adoption.
Hands-on experience building and testing Spring Boot services and React applications using tools like Cypress or JMeter.
Cloud-native experience (e.g., AWS) and proficiency with automation, CI/CD, SDLC, agile, resiliency, and security practices.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems (preferred).
