What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Write high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, testing, and incident analysis.
Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Advanced hands-on coding experience in Python, Java, Design Patterns, Spring, and Kubernetes.
Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on safe adoption.
Practical experience with cloud-native technologies and platforms such as AWS.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
