What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for AI outputs including security, performance, and peer review.
Identify opportunities to automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies.
Design and develop scalable, performant microservices using Java, Spring, and JPA.
Implement automation and continuous delivery methods across the software development life cycle.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
5+ years of applied experience in software engineering.
Extensive experience in design and development of scalable microservices using Java, Spring, and JPA.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and the full Software Development Life Cycle.
Demonstrated experience leading teams in the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
