What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs including security, performance, and peer review requirements.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies across the engineering organization.
Coach engineers on the safe, compliant adoption of AI tools within delivery practices.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and establishing validation standards for team use.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
Hands-on work with Large Language Models (LLMs) and generative AI.
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, RESTful APIs, and database technologies.
Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) and various development/testing frameworks.
Cloud certification (preferred).
Practical cloud-native development experience (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
