JOB TITLE: Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack
The Lead Software Engineer joins the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology team to support Payment Solutions, Capital Markets Services, Wholesale Digitization, and International Technology. This role leads end-to-end technology solution delivery for commercial lending products, including loan origination, servicing, and delivery. Responsibilities include making architecture decisions, conducting code reviews, leading scrum teams, and performing hands-on design and coding to solve complex enterprise challenges. The position requires expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, Python, Scala, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture, alongside front-end skills in Angular 16, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX. The role also involves AI technology implementation, data engineering, and cloud-native modernization within a large-scale financial services environment.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions for commercial lending products including loan origination and servicing.
Act as a technical advisor to leadership to design and influence solutions for complex business needs.
Perform hands-on design and coding to resolve highly complex technical challenges across the enterprise.
Translate strategic business objectives and technological requirements into scalable technical engineering solutions.
Provide architecture guidance and conduct extensive code reviews for development teams.
Conduct Proof of Concepts with new technologies to drive innovation and thought leadership.

What we're looking for
5+ years of Software Engineering experience.
5+ years of experience in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JPA, Python, Scala REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
5+ years of experience with Angular 16, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX.
2+ years of AI technology implementation experience.
2+ years of experience working in Agile environments.
Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform services (preferred).
Experience with Kafka, event-driven architecture, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, and SonarQube (preferred).
