You will also utilize Kafka, RabbitMQ, and AWS cloud platforms. The role solves complex technical problems within the equity derivatives risk management domain, ensuring secure and stable software operations.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and implement scalable microservice architectures with high resiliency capabilities.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
Perform JVM performance analysis, including profiling, heap dump analysis, and garbage collection tuning.
Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchains and automation capabilities to improve overall development value.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Expertise in Java Core concepts including object-oriented design, memory management, multi-threading, and features up to Java 17.
Advanced hands-on coding experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring JPA/Hibernate, and REST-based services.
Strong experience with JVM performance analysis, including profiling, heap dump analysis, thread dump analysis, and GC tuning.
Experience designing and implementing scalable microservice architectures with high resiliency capabilities.
Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and experience with relational/No-SQL databases, Kafka/RabbitMQ, and AWS.
Proven experience with the full development lifecycle using Git, Jira, Jenkins, Gradle, and Maven.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Experience working in financial services and understanding of equity derivative products (preferred).
Hands-on coding experience with Python (preferred).
Experience with UI concepts and languages including JavaScript, REACT, AngularJS, Typescript, HTML5, and CSS3 (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of AWS Public Cloud products and solutions (preferred).
Cloud certification in AWS or Kubernetes (preferred).
