Lead Software Engineer, Java, Wealth Management

What you'll do

• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
• Design and execute creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
• Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Contribute to technical documentation and service APIs while ensuring strong logging, auditability, and security.
• Build and deploy scalable, cloud-native services using AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proven hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Java for enterprise backend development with practical experience building services using Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, Amazon MSK, and AWS services.
• Hands-on cloud-native experience building, deploying, and operating services in an AWS environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on compliant usage.
• JavaScript/Typescript experience and familiarity with trading systems or the FIX protocol (preferred).
