The Lead Software Engineer - Front End/React/AIML joins the Data Governance Engineering team within the AI/ML Data Platforms group. This role involves spearheading the development and delivery of core data capabilities, including end-to-end software delivery for Java and Python based services, batch jobs, and data pipelines. Key responsibilities include producing design artifacts for complex workflows, identifying data quality issues or bottlenecks, and gathering metrics to support operational insights. The position requires proficiency in React.JS, Angular, Spring, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, and AWS cloud technologies. Candidates must demonstrate skills in SQL, NoSQL data modeling, and the full data lifecycle including ingestion, transformation, and governance. The work focuses on building enterprise-scale data platforms that manage data lineage, reliability, and security within a distributed agile environment.
Identify and resolve data quality issues, drift, anomalies, and performance bottlenecks in pipeline execution.
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Spring, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, and AWS cloud technologies.
Produce reports, metrics, and visualizations by synthesizing data to support business and operational insights.
Leverage AI-assisted software development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed while ensuring secure coding standards.
Improve internal libraries and utilities while evaluating emerging technologies for the engineering community.
Manage the full data lifecycle including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, and governance.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience with formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in production environments.
Full stack development experience with Spring, Java, Python, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, AWS cloud technologies, and Databricks.
Experience with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
Knowledge across the data lifecycle including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption patterns.
Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, security best practices, and observability and monitoring.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
AWS Solutions Architect/Developer or advanced-level certification (preferred).
