As a Lead Software Engineer within the Data Governance Engineering team of the AI/ML Data Platforms group, you will spearhead the development and delivery of core data capabilities. You will execute end-to-end software delivery, including design, development, testing, and deployment for Java and Python based services, batch jobs, and data pipelines. Your daily work involves producing design artifacts for complex workflows, identifying data quality issues, and managing pipeline orchestration. You will utilize a technical stack including Spring, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, AWS cloud technologies, Databricks, and SQL. Additionally, you will work with React.JS and Angular for front-end needs. The role focuses on solving technical problems related to data ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption patterns within a large enterprise environment.
Execute end-to-end software delivery including design, development, testing, and deployment for Java and Python services.
Build and maintain data pipelines, batch jobs, and API services with a focus on performance and reliability.
Produce design artifacts for complex workflows covering pipeline orchestration, processing logic, and failure handling.
Identify and resolve data quality issues, drift, anomalies, and bottlenecks within data pipelines.
Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Spring, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, and AWS cloud technologies.
Analyze data to produce reports, metrics, and visualizations that support business and operational insights.
Leverage AI-assisted software development tools to improve code quality and delivery speed while ensuring secure coding standards.
Manage the data lifecycle including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, and lineage.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience with formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in production environments.
Full stack development experience with Spring, Java, Python, Hibernate, Spark/PySpark, AWS cloud technologies, and Databricks.
Experience with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
Knowledge across the data lifecycle including ingestion, validation, transformation, storage, governance, lineage, and consumption patterns.
Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, security best practices, and observability and monitoring.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
AWS Solutions Architect/Developer or advanced-level certification (preferred).
