Principal, Data Center Physical Security Systems Delivery serves as a senior technical authority within the Data Center Construction organization to oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of critical security infrastructure. This individual contributor role involves managing the lifecycle of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, intercoms, and perimeter security systems across global data center portfolios. The successful candidate will coordinate with cross-functional teams including network, low-voltage, and construction partners to ensure all systems meet rigorous reliability and scalability standards. Key responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, managing vendor performance, conducting site inspections, and ensuring operational readiness for high-security environments. Required expertise includes deep knowledge of security networks, structured cabling, and large-scale infrastructure delivery. The role solves the complex challenge of integrating sophisticated physical security technologies into mission-critical facilities to protect essential cloud and AI infrastructure.
Serve as the subject matter expert for physical security systems across all data center construction projects.
Define and enforce technical standards for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security.
Review and approve technical designs, drawings, specifications, and installation details to ensure operational readiness.
Oversee vendor and contractor execution for the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of security systems.
Coordinate the integration of security hardware with network infrastructure, building management systems, and life safety systems.
Manage QA/QC processes, including field inspections, system walkdowns, and tracking punch list items to closure.
Act as the primary liaison between construction, engineering, procurement, and security operations teams.
Drive continuous improvement by standardizing designs, delivery processes, and lessons-learned practices across global projects.
What we're looking for
Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in physical security systems delivery.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, Security Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Must have extensive experience designing and managing security systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
Must have deep technical knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, intercoms, and perimeter security.
Must be able to review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and commissioning documentation.
Must possess strong skills in low-voltage construction, structured cabling, and system integration.
Must demonstrate the ability to manage vendors, contractors, and cross-functional project teams.
Professional certifications such as PSP, CPP, PMP, RCDD, BICSI, or others are preferred.
