What you'll do

Lead the commissioning of electrical, control, and mechanical systems to ensure data centers are ready for service.
Oversee commissioning activities for multiple lease provider projects while providing engineering leadership and guidance.
Act as the primary interface between Oracle and data center partners during testing and turnover phases.
Review all commissioning testing procedures to verify that equipment and subsystems meet design specifications.
Provide expert input for contract administration, including the creation of contracts, change orders, and cost forecasts.
Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures across cross-functional teams.
Contribute to the development of design specifications to ensure the delivery of resilient and efficient data centers.
Mentor junior team members by developing training programs and serving as a subject matter expert.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 10 years of experience in the field.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Requires professional qualifications in mechanical, control, or electrical engineering with a commissioning focus.
Must possess expert knowledge of engineering systems including advanced diagnostics and repairs.
Must demonstrate expert level proficiency in safe working practices, such as lockout/tag out procedures.
Must have expert level communication skills for technical writing and cross-functional collaboration.
Must be able to travel up to two weeks per month.
Must live in or be willing to move to the Chicago area.
