Junior Pre-Sales Engineer

What you'll do

• Support the pre-sales process by conducting discovery, performing demos, and providing technical follow-up for HindSight opportunities.
• Gather customer requirements regarding call handling equipment, radio systems, dispatch consoles, and deployment preferences.
• Build accurate quotes and Bills of Materials (BOMs) based on specific licensing needs, hardware platforms, and system sizing.
• Participate in customer calls to document technical needs, clarify scope, and identify missing information for solution design.
• Maintain internal documentation including requirements summaries, quote assumptions, and handoff notes for operations teams.
• Validate technical assumptions with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are achievable and supportable.
• Assist with the setup and execution of product demonstrations and technical presentations for customers.
• Improve internal tools, pre-sales questionnaires, and workflows as product and pricing models evolve.

What we're looking for

• At least 1+ year of experience in a technical, sales support, customer support, implementation, IT, or systems-focused role.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail regarding quotes, requirements, licensing, and configuration details.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools, specifically Excel or Sheets.
• Ability to learn complex product, pricing, and integration logic over time.
• Associate's degree.
