As a Java AWS AI Lead Software Engineer within the Consumer & Community Banking Connected Commerce Payments team, you will serve as a core technical contributor and leader for a group of software engineers. What you'll do

Develop high-quality, secure production code using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS.
Design and implement technical solutions for complex problems beyond routine or conventional approaches.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Mentor and lead various levels of software engineers within an agile development environment.
Implement CI/CD pipelines while ensuring application resiliency and security standards are met.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
8+ years of experience coding in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS.
Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, KMS, ECS, EKS, S3, EMR, Athena, SQS, EventBridge, and PostgreSQL.
Hands-on experience with cloud provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance standards.
Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Leadership and mentoring experience; experience on large financial payments applications (preferred); AWS certification (preferred).
