As a Lead Software Engineer AWS within the Consumer & Community Banking's Origination Workflows Team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. What you'll do

Develop high-quality production code using Java and Python frameworks within a microservices architecture.
Integrate software solutions with AWS Cloud Services including compute, storage, databases, and security components.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of applications.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.
Manage infrastructure and deployment using AWS services and Terraform.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages including Java or Python.
Experience building microservices using Java/Spring Boot and Python/FastAPI/Flask.
Experience with AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, and ALB/NLB.
Experience with Terraform and building high-volume, low-latency, high-throughput transactional systems.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI practices.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security; financial services knowledge (preferred).
