What you'll do

Develop and code in Java and Python to solve complex technical issues across applications, services, and platforms.

Build and maintain automation frameworks, AI-driven engineering solutions, and reusable tools for engineering teams.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Conduct performance, resiliency, and chaos testing to validate system behavior under production-like conditions.
Lead engineers through code reviews, provide technical guidance, and promote strong engineering practices.
Define release readiness checks, quality gates, and reliability standards for cloud-native platforms.
Communicate technical strategy, reliability risks, and delivery progress to engineering teams and leadership.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in Java as a primary language and Python as a secondary language.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching others on responsible AI use.
Strong hands-on experience designing, coding, debugging, and resolving complex technical problems independently.
Experience leading engineers, raising technical standards, and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders.
Practical experience modernizing cloud-native applications, improving platform reliability, or leading automation-driven engineering initiatives.
Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, relational databases, NoSQL databases, messaging frameworks, and event-driven architectures.
Experience with performance testing tools, observability tools, or cloud certifications in AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferred).
