What you'll do

Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions to solve complex business problems.
Drive architectural decisions for distributed systems to improve scalability, resiliency, and availability.
Build and maintain secure, production-grade services using Java or Scala with large-scale datasets.
Design and build AI-enabled applications featuring retrieval-augmented generation patterns and agentic workflows.
Implement CI/CD automation and reliability patterns to support safe, frequent software releases.
Mentor engineers through technical guidance and code reviews to improve team capability and delivery outcomes.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and speed.
Establish validation standards for AI outputs to ensure security, performance, and accuracy.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems in a production environment.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot with working knowledge of SQL and modern UI frameworks like React.
Experience building and operating solutions on public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) using Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices to improve release safety and speed.
Practical experience with API design and integration patterns, including REST and GraphQL.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and ensuring responsible AI usage in engineering workflows.
Advanced expertise in system design, performance optimization, and building generative AI solutions (preferred).
