As an IT Director within the Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will lead the delivery of critical infrastructure and foundational technologies for major online services like Azure and Office 365. You will manage a diverse technical workforce across your metro area, overseeing the planning and delivery of physical infrastructure, logistics, and resources to meet growth demands. Your daily responsibilities include managing incident management procedures for cloud service impacts, overseeing vendor contracts, and performing financial management including budget development and capital spend tracking. The role requires expertise in critical environment support, such as UPS, generators, and HVAC systems, alongside experience with servers, networking, and capacity planning. You will ensure safety, security, and compliance while navigating complex projects to maintain high standards of service for the global data center infrastructure.
Lead the coaching, management, and professional development of full-time employees across data centers in your metro.
Manage IT and Critical Environment support to ensure defect-free delivery of customer capacity within SLA commitments.
Plan and deliver physical infrastructure, logistics, and resources required to meet anticipated growth.
Lead incident management procedures for major events, including leading calls with customers and senior leadership.
Manage financial operations by developing detailed budgets, forecasts, and overseeing operational and capital spend.
Oversee all vendor and partner contracts, including landlords and IT service providers.
Cultivate a culture of safety, security, and compliance across all aspects of data center operations.
What we're looking for
High School Qualification or equivalent and 10+ years of mission-critical service management experience or equivalent.
At least 3 years of people management experience.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and other required security screenings.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
7+ years of enterprise-level experience managing large scale projects, Critical Environment infrastructures, and physical IT infrastructures (preferred).
Experience managing budgets of $5M or more (preferred).
7+ years leading a diverse technical workforce or 10+ years managing global and virtual teams (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, CCNA, ITIL v3, PMP, or others (preferred).
