As a Metro Build Program Manager within the Cloud Operations & Innovation team, you will play a critical role in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for major online services. You will manage data center build operations by establishing relationships with construction stakeholders, attending design and commissioning meetings, and serving as the primary liaison between Construction and Operations teams. Your daily responsibilities include coordinating turnover operations, documenting lessons learned, monitoring service KPIs and SLAs, and standardizing infrastructure equipment through design and construction workflows. The role requires expertise in large-scale server and network deployment projects within critical environment infrastructures such as UPS, generators, and AHUs. You will utilize project management skills to lead triage meetings and prioritize work while ensuring safety, security, and compliance across the global portfolio of datacenter facilities to support high-demand cloud services.
Act as the primary liaison between Construction and Operations teams to advocate for operational needs.
Attend all design, construction, and commissioning meetings for new builds, expansions, and retrofits.
Coordinate and execute turnover operations while ensuring all checklists and artifacts are delivered on time.
Monitor service KPIs, SLAs, and OLAs to report trends and identify service anomalies.
Lead team triage meetings and prioritize work across the team to respond to changing demands.
Standardize infrastructure equipment, processes, and workflows through design and construction phases.
Assist with new facility designs and coordinate the installation of core network infrastructures.
Document and report lessons learned from each project to improve future operations.
What we're looking for
High School Qualification or equivalent and 3+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of experience in critical environment or physical IT infrastructures (preferred).
High School Qualification or equivalent and 10+ years of experience in critical environment or physical IT infrastructures (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as APICS, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network, CCNA, ITIL v3 Foundation, or MOF (preferred).
