Infrastructure Engineer II

What you'll do

• Engineer and modernize Windows operating systems, images, and deployment solutions for a global restaurant fleet.
• Manage the lifecycle of compute platforms including hardware qualification, provisioning, firmware updates, and configuration management.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and OS issues to create standards and documentation for improved supportability.
• Develop and deploy automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate platform architecture and performance to identify risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Design solutions that meet global business requirements while accounting for local hardware and regulatory needs.
• Influence engineering standards and technical direction to ensure scalable and maintainable infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices and automated solutions to remediate vulnerabilities across the restaurant network.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in server, endpoint, or infrastructure engineering (or equivalent demonstrated capability).
• Experience building and maintaining Windows Server and Client images at scale with automated deployment and configuration baselines.
• Proficiency in bare-metal hardware provisioning including firmware/BIOS configuration and out-of-band management tools like iDRAC or iLO.
• Ability to perform root-cause diagnosis on hardware, firmware, and OS issues without existing documentation.
• Proficiency in PowerShell plus Bash or Python for automation of operational processes.
• Experience with fleet management tools such as Tanium, Intune, SCCM/MECM, or Ansible.
• Working knowledge of Git-based workflows including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
