Human Performance Advisor serves as a technical expert for the Human Performance program in locations where a dedicated manager or coordinator is unavailable. This role involves planning, developing, and synchronizing technical training, guidance, and policy recommendations to ensure peak performance and reconditioning of operators. Daily responsibilities include providing direct oversight of services, managing inventory and supply requisitions, developing training materials, and documenting data within an enterprise-wide database. The position requires a Master’s degree in exercise science, health science, or physical education, along with certifications such as Certified Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Physical Therapist, Cognitive Performance Specialist, or Performance Dietitian. Candidates must possess skills in life support, meeting organization, planning, professional development, and scheduling. This role addresses the critical need for specialized training and nutrition programs to optimize performance for athletes and operators in demanding environments.
Plan, develop, and synchronize technical training, guidance, and programmatic policy recommendations.
Provide daily oversight of human performance services to ensure peak operator performance and reconditioning.
Manage inventory of supplies and resources while preparing equipment requisitions and maintenance schedules.
Develop and distribute training materials for program managers and senior leadership.
Collect and report data required by headquarters and program management staff.
Document work performed, utilization, and referrals in the enterprise-wide database.
Oversee and advise on the training and travel of personnel under your supervision.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings with medical staff and the military chain of command.
What we're looking for
Must possess a Master's Degree in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
Must have 5 or more years of experience developing and coordinating sport- or mission-specific performance programs for athletes or operators.
Must hold current certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Physical Therapist, Cognitive Performance Specialist, or Performance Dietitian.
Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Must be able to meet physical demands including hiking over rough terrain and lifting loads up to 25 kilograms.
Must possess a Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.
US Citizenship is required.
Must have fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
