As a Hardware Systems Engineer - Board Design within the Silicon Validation Hardware team, you will contribute to the development of high-performance, power-efficient system-on-chip technology. Your daily responsibilities include developing specifications from cross-functional requirements, performing schematic capture, circuit design, and defining layout and routing constraints. You will be responsible for FPGA and CPLD development, board bring-up, testing, characterization, and debugging complex system-level problems. The role requires technical expertise in power and signal integrity analysis, high-speed interface design, and the use of lab equipment like scopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers. Required skills include a strong foundation in transistor operation, timing analysis, and digital logic. You will also utilize Verilog or VHDL for RTL experience and employ Perl, Tcl, or Python for test automation to solve critical silicon engineering challenges.

What you'll do

Develop technical specifications based on requirements from cross-functional teams.

What we're looking for

BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree program.
At least 3 years of experience in the field.
Experience with schematic level board design and circuit design.
Knowledge of power and signal integrity analysis, transmission lines, and timing analysis.
Experience with FPGA and CPLD development using Verilog or VHDL.
Proficiency with lab equipment including scopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
Expertise in test automation using Perl, Tcl, or Python.
Ability to perform board bring-up, testing, characterization, and system-level debugging.
