What you'll do

Support electrical and system design and integration for core Apple products.
Design and implement experiments to validate new optical and mechanical materials.
Optimize hardware components for performance, reliability, and signal integrity.
Perform RF system level validation and develop automated software tools for wireless systems.
Execute RTL design, verification, and physical design for ASIC and VLSI projects.
Develop low-level firmware, drivers, and protocols for embedded systems.
Conduct system-level testing, schematic capture, and bug resolution.
Prototype and integrate hardware components for audio, acoustics, and optical features.

What we're looking for

Must be currently pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Must return to school after the internship or have the internship as the final requirement before graduation.
Knowledge of computer system architecture, digital logic design and verification, and digital/analog circuit analysis.
Experience with chip design, microarchitecture of on-chip interconnection networks, and RF engineering.
Proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Python, Perl, SQL, Assembly, or VHDL/Verilog RTL.
Experience using measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Ability to interpret schematics with physical design and debug circuits via FPGA or PCBs.
Prior internship experience, relevant project experience, or teaching assistance experience is preferred.
