What you'll do

Support electrical and system design and integration for core Apple products.
Design and implement experiments to validate new optical and mechanical materials.
Perform RF system level validation and optimize automated wireless systems.
Execute RTL design, verification, and physical design for ASIC and VLSI components.
Conduct system-level testing, schematic capture, and bug resolution for electrical systems.
Develop low-level firmware, drivers, and protocols for embedded systems.
Design and prototype hardware for audio, acoustics, and optical features.
Perform quality engineering to ensure the reliability of various electrical sub-systems.

What we're looking for

Must be currently pursuing an MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Must return to school after the internship or have the internship as the final requirement before graduation.
Knowledge of computer system architecture, digital logic design and verification, and circuit analysis is preferred.
Preferred knowledge includes chip design, microarchitecture, and high-speed signals or RF engineering.
Proficiency in languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, SQL, Assembly, VHDL, or Verilog RTL is preferred.
Experience using measurement equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes is preferred.
Experience interpreting schematics with physical design and debugging circuits via FPGA or PCBs is preferred.
Prior internship experience, relevant project experience, or teaching assistance experience is preferred.
