Hardware Technologies Masters Engineering Intern

What you'll do

• Design and implement innovative solutions for complex hardware engineering problems.
• Develop custom silicon technologies including processors, storage controllers, and sensor chips.
• Perform circuit design, digital design, and physical implementation of hardware components.
• Execute functional, formal, and post-silicon verification to ensure product reliability.
• Conduct power management, signal integrity, and power integrity analysis for integrated circuits.
• Develop firmware and platform architecture for Apple's diverse product line.
• Model performance and functionality for computer architectures including CPUs and GPUs.
• Design and optimize hardware systems for battery, camera, display, and wireless communications.

What we're looking for

• Pursue a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
• Must be returning to school after the internship or have the internship as the final requirement for graduation.
• Demonstrated experience in computer architecture, VLSI, design, logic design, or circuit design is preferred.
• Understanding of formal methods or verification is preferred.
• Experience with camera, touch, or display engineering including optics and hardware design is preferred.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, Python, Perl, or Spice is beneficial.
• Experience with Timing, Synthesis, Ansys, or COMSOL is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple functional teams are required.
