Hardware Engineering Intern

What you'll do

• Support electrical and system design and integration for core Apple products.
• Design and implement experiments to validate new optical and mechanical materials.
• Perform RF system level validation and optimize automated wireless systems.
• Execute RTL design, verification, and physical design for ASIC/VLSI components.
• Conduct system-level testing, schematic capture, and bug resolution for electrical systems.
• Develop low-level firmware, drivers, and protocols for embedded systems.
• Design and prototype hardware for audio, acoustics, and optical features.
• Perform quality engineering to ensure the reliability of various electrical sub-systems.

What we're looking for

• Must be currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Must return to school after the internship or have the internship as the final requirement for graduation.
• Knowledge of computer system architecture, digital logic design and verification, and circuit analysis is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge includes chip design, microarchitecture, and high-speed signals.
• Proficiency in languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl, SQL, Assembly, VHDL, or Verilog RTL is preferred.
• Experience using measurement equipment like spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes is preferred.
• Experience interpreting schematics with physical design and debugging circuits via FPGA or PCBs is preferred.
• Prior internship experience, relevant project experience, or teaching assistance experience is preferred.
