What you'll do

Support electrical and system design and integration for Apple products like iPhone and Mac.
Design and implement experiments to validate new optical and mechanical materials.
Perform RTL design, verification, and integration for ASIC and VLSI components.
Develop and debug low-level firmware, drivers, and embedded software solutions.
Conduct RF system level validation and optimize automated wireless systems.
Perform schematic capture and provide system-level testing support for hardware.
Design and prototype hardware for audio, acoustics, and optical components.
Execute design verification using FPGAs and various measurement equipment.

What we're looking for

Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Must return to school after the internship or have the internship as the final requirement for graduation.
Knowledge of computer system architecture, digital logic design and verification, digital and analog circuit analysis, and Analog IC (preferred).
Knowledge of chip design and microarchitecture of on-chip interconnection networks (preferred).
Knowledge of antenna, cellular, wireless, OTA, RF Engineering, high-speed signals, wireless communication theory, and RF circuit design (preferred).
Knowledge of CPU & GPU Architecture (preferred).
Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Perl, SQL, Assembly, Mac OS X, PH, Obj-C, VHDL, Verilog RTL, or Digital Logic Design (preferred).
Experience using measurement equipment, interpreting schematics, debugging circuits via FPGA or PCBs, or prior relevant experience (preferred).
