The GIS Program Manager 5 joins the Client Productivity Team within GIS Operations to provide dedicated leadership for the global Microsoft 365 operating model. This role oversees the SharePoint and Exchange service teams, managing technical direction, staff development, and workload prioritization. Key responsibilities include leading major incidents, maintaining operational discipline through SLAs and runbooks, and partnering with Information Security on data-protection initiatives. Lead the global SharePoint and Exchange teams by providing technical direction, staff development, and workload prioritization.
Manage major M365 incidents and escalations by coordinating technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders for service restoration.
Maintain operational discipline across incident, problem, change, and service management using SLAs, SOPs, and runbooks.
Provide executive-ready reporting on service health, risk, projects, and operational metrics to leadership.
Partner with Information Security to implement data-protection initiatives, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and eDiscovery.
Translate security requirements into practical M365 configurations, ensuring all changes are tested and documented.
Establish role-based administrative access and separation of duties across all Microsoft 365 administrative services.
What we're looking for
10+ years of IT experience, including significant experience supporting Microsoft 365 or enterprise collaboration and messaging platforms.
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, preferably across global or distributed environments (preferred).
Strong working knowledge of Exchange Online and SharePoint Online administration, governance, troubleshooting, and enterprise-scale operations.
Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and technologies including Entra ID, Teams, OneDrive, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and ServiceNow.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including retention, data lifecycle management, information protection, DLP, eDiscovery, auditing, and compliance.
Experience partnering with Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Identity, and Infrastructure teams on enterprise security and governance initiatives.
Ability to lead major M365 incidents and escalations, coordinating technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Ability to maintain operational discipline across incident, problem, change, request, and service management.
