Exchange & Security Administrator, AVP

What you'll do

• Engineer, configure, and support Exchange Online, hybrid, and on-premises services including mail flow, transport rules, and connectors.
• Manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and third-party email security services for anti-phishing, anti-spam, and threat investigation.
• Design and implement roadmap changes such as mailbox migrations, cloud mail-flow modernization, and legacy platform decommissioning.
• Provide advanced engineering support for production issues involving message tracing, authentication, certificates, and Microsoft 365 interoperability.
• Support secure onboarding of applications using SMTP relays, connectors, service principals, APIs, and approved automation accounts.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation for repeatable engineering, reporting, and monitoring activities.
• Design and maintain least-privilege administrative access using Microsoft 365 RBAC and enterprise identity-governance processes.
• Create and maintain solution designs, technical standards, implementation plans, and operational procedures.

What we're looking for

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.
• 5 or more years of equivalent work experience is required.
• Deep hands-on engineering and support experience with Exchange Online, Exchange hybrid, and on-premises environments is required.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and enterprise email security controls is required.
• Experience designing and supporting integrations between Exchange, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and third-party security platforms is required.
• Strong PowerShell skills for Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 engineering and administration are required.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, Conditional Access, and least-privilege design is required.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls in a large, regulated enterprise is required.
