What you'll do

  • Design, prototype, develop, and debug software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices.
  • Develop advanced controls and AI/ML algorithms for processing at the edge.
  • Design and test complex FPGAs used with system-on-chip and heterogeneous processing architectures.
  • Develop IP cores and software from the ground up to utilize processors and programmable logic.
  • Troubleshoot complex software and programmable logic problems, including FPGA timing analysis and closure.
  • Translate internal customer requirements into technical design requirements and optimized solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and provide risk assessments for alternate solution paths.
  • Develop software documentation, test procedures, and scripts using TCL and Python in a Linux environment.

What we're looking for

  • Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
  • 10+ years of experience in product development.
  • Skilled in Xilinx (AMD) Toolset, specifically Xilinx FPGAs for IC embedded heterogeneous processing architectures.
  • RTL and VHDL experience.
  • Skilled in TCL and Python script development in a Linux environment.
  • Familiar with Agile CICD DevOps and development automation.
  • Strong background in industrial automation software (preferred).
  • Develop and maintain real-time embedded C/C++ firmware (preferred).
